What I Want to Be/Become/Do

I want to become as Christ like as possible.

I envision myself as a ministry professional in a dynamic ministry that reaches majority of students in the area. I see myself cultivating leaders, and equipping volunteers to lead students on a lifetime path with Jesus.

I see myself as a volunteer developer. I want to be able to develop volunteers to lead high school students and make disciples of Jesus Christ. Volunteers are the heart of ministry and are the vehicle in which ministry is able to be done. There needs to be much time spent pouring into volunteers and equipping them because of this reasons. In order to have every student reached there needs to be a volunteer available for ministry to be done. One person can only accomplish so much. I believe God made it this way so that the body of Christ could be fully utilized. Being a capable leader of not just students but also volunteers is someone I want to become and a role that I have a passion for. Great ministry can be accomplished with teachable volunteers.

Romans 12:4-6

Just as each of us has one body with many members, and not all members have the same function, so in Christ we who are many are one body, and each member belongs to one another. We have different gifts according to the grace given us.

I am an extremely organized and task oriented person as well. I see myself as something in an administrative position just as much a teacher. I see myself teaching students, but also having the ability to take care of behind the scene organizing and planning. Unlike many people I enjoy organization and administration. I see the how behind big projects and immediately think in terms of steps in how to achieve it. I want to become a go to person for how people execute events and tasks.

Above all I see myself as a servant of Jesus Christ. If I desire to be more like Christ I desire to be a servant. Jesus came to serve us and I see myself as a servant to students and the church. I enjoy giving to those who cannot give back, and doing so because Jesus did. I want to be a humble servant as Jesus was. Without a servants heart, ministry can be a task that seems impossible to many. I have this desire because God has put students on my heart. I would not be fullfilling God's plan if I did not step into this reality.

Philippians 2:5-8

Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
